Currently Megaputer is expanding and strengthening its Human Resources and Recruitment team. We are seeking a new recruiter and human resources advocate to handle employee benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Advertising and updating job openings via a number of channels (glass door, university job boards, tech partnership groups, etc)
  • Process and review applications. Guide (communicate) applicants through the evaluation process.
  • Planning and scheduling recruitment events. Presenting introduction to the company and description of job evaluation process.
  • Preparing proposals for new vendors and services that will improve or add to current benefits
  • Timely and effectively fulfilling requests for information from employees and leadership
  • Coordinating health benefits on behalf of employees (adding/removing from coverage, paying invoices, COBRA transfers, etc).
  • Track and report vacation and sick leave requests for approvals.
  • Monitor and enforce employee policy adherence
  • Update employee handbook, employee communication platform, and recruiting documentation on a regular basis Research company compliance with new or updated applicable employer law in regards to benefits administration and recruitment.
  • Attend and facilitate weekly company meetings. Record and document proceedings. Assist in scheduling future meeting topics and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field of study (Business Administration, Human Resources, Hospitality, Education..)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in business administration, benefits administration, and/or recruiting.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
  • Experience with MS Office programs

Position: Network Administrator/Computer System Analyst

Purpose:

We are seeking a Network Administrator/Computer System Analyst to join our team in Bloomington, Indiana. This position entails the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of company hardware, software and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems and replace defective components when necessary.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware, including the virus protection software
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use
  • Evaluate user needs, perform a comprehensive search/compare, and procure computer software and hardware, maintain adequate supplies (spare drives, printer paper)
  • Design, configure and test computer hardware and networking and operating system software
  • Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future
  • Assist in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining email applications

Knowledge/Experience/Competencies

  • Educational Requirements: The preferred candidate will have at least a Master's degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields
  • Experience: Two or more years' experience as a network administrator or similar capacity; Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012; Windows 7, 8, 10; Firewalls, Switches, Routers, VLANs (Cisco, HP, etc.)

    The designer will create graphic elements and software UX for our digital product, design user interface solutions and dashboard layout for the PolyAnalyst™ platform, and develop intuitive, accessible long-term design solutions across all major platforms for Megaputer’s products and services.

    Responsibilities

    • Create software infographics for our digital product, including user interface design and dashboard layout
    • Create engaging data visualizations
    • Design the user interface layout and specific graphic elements within the PolyAnalyst Analytical Client and Web Report Editor platforms.

    Qualifications

    • Educational Requirements: Master’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction Design, Digital Arts, Visual Communication, or related field

    Research Data Analyst

    Full-time position (1 position available)

    Location: Bloomington, IN

    • Learn customers' data and analytical challenges, gather the information from all relevant sources, and summarize the results of the performed analysis in reports answering key customer questions;
    • Study and analyze information obtained from customers in order to conceptualize and define operational business problems by using quantitative research, statistical and mathematical methods;
    • Evaluate design solutions and identify best practice in analysis and synthesis of information from different sources to identify the most suitable algorithms to address the problems;
    • Analyze research data, investigative findings and operational reports to formulate simulation models of problems, and perform testing of models to ensure their adequacy;
    • Perform calculations to draw conclusions from given data and apply appropriate statistical and cost benefit analysis techniques to the interpretation of data;

    Required experience/education:

    At least 12 months of proven experience as Data Analyst, Research Data Analyst, Operations Research Specialist and all related. Min. BS in Mathematics, Business Administration, economics and all related.

    Knowledge/skills required:

    Understanding natural language is at the core of Megaputer’s software. Computational Linguists work for improvements in quality, classification, information extraction, and natural language understanding. You will work both on complex projects spanning a number disciplines within different fields. You will utilize a wide variety of skills, including natural language processing and understanding, syntax, semantics, ontology, program management, statistics, corpus linguistics, or any combination.

    As a Computational Linguist, you will collaborate with developers and data analysis consultants to produce rule-based linguistic models, analyses, and applications that improve Megaputer’s ability to uncover key information from unstructured text.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide linguistic expertise and direction for language-specific NLP.
    • Train and/or evaluate NLP and propose solutions.
    • Design resources and processes to support a variety of projects related to natural language understanding.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with linguists, researchers, and developers.
    • Make technical presentations of key capabilities of PolyAnalyst™ for prospective customers.

    Required Qualifications

    • Graduate education in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
    • Experience with query languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python)
    • Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
    • Experience with theoretical, applied and computational linguistics.
    • Experience with a variety of linguistic and/or ontological representations (e.g. semantics, syntax, morphology, pragmatics, discourse, lexicography, corpus linguistics, etc). Understanding of tag sets, and syntactic parsing.

The candidate should be able to understand business processes and analytical tasks of the customer, and to develop and present efficient solutions addressing these tasks.

    Some travel to customer locations and trade conferences is required: 10-20% of the time.

    • Summarize results in reports answering key customer questions
