2020

Megaputer expands its global customer base. A new strategic partnership is formed with Seacrest Technology, Ltd., based in Nairobi, Kenya to distribute Megaputer solutions to African private and public sectors. Megaputer acquires its first customer in Japan.

2019

Megaputer releases a new version of PolyAnalyst that comes equipped with a revitalized reporting module for data visualization, custom dashboard creation, and interactive drill-down for end-users. All the interfaces for analysts, report builders, and report viewers are now able to be access over web browsers.

2017-2018

Megaputer launches a beta version of a new Big Data analysis product called, “PA GRID.” The product supports distributed data storage and analysis, facilitating dramatic increase in the speed of analysis and amounts of data that can be processed. It is deployed on a cluster of regular grade machines that can reside either on premises or in the cloud (e.g. AWS).

2016

Megaputer expands its client base to additional industries. Hadoop compatibility for handling Big Data is developed for incorporation into the next software release of PolyAnalyst. Megaputer wins TMT News’ technology award for ‘Best Advanced Analytics Platform’ and CV Magazine’s ‘Best Text Analytics Platform’ technology innovation award.

2015

The company is recognized at TechPoint’s annual Mira Awards for developing the Associate’s Performance Monitoring Solution (APMS).

2013-2014

PolyAnalyst version 6.5 is released, featuring multiple analytical capabilities. The program version provides over 120 user nodes and also supports analysis in 14 different languages. Megaputer continues to rapidly gain customers and hires a wave of new data analysis talent to support demand.

2008 - 2012

Megaputer experiences substantial customer growth, acquiring active contracts from multiple Fortune 500 clients for both software licenses and analytical consulting services. PolyAnalyst is recognized on Hurwitz and Associates’ Text Analytics Victory Index and Hurwitz and Associates’ Predictive Analytics Victory Index for its depth of functionality and end-to-end data analysis capabilities.

2007

PolyAnalyst version 6 is released. The highly scalable and secure client/server system implements all features from the customers’ wish lists and allows Megaputer to serve enterprise level projects. Megaputer wins contracts to supply text mining systems to Patient Safety Centers of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense. A large medical system implements new PolyAnalyst dashboards as the main decision support tool for the organization. Megaputer partners with Service+, a dominant Russian supplier of analytical software for retailers, to jointly promote PolyAnalyst 6 in retail industry.

2006

PolyAnalyst version 5 is implemented in a production environment within a Fortune 100 company’s call center to perform real-time categorization of telephone call narratives. PolyAnalyst wins a predictive modeling competition for identifying insurance claims errors set up by the Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) program of the US Department of Health and Human Services.

2005

A family of sophisticated algorithms for fraud detection in health insurance is incorporated into PolyAnalyst as a new MediCop module. A major healthcare insurance company becomes Megaputer’s first healthcare insurance industry customer. Megaputer opens a second R&D Center in Cheboxary, Russia.

2004

Megaputer partners with Thomson Healthcare to develop healthcare fraud detection algorithms for the healthcare insurance industry and acquires the rights for the resulting analytical algorithms. A new collection of text analysis tools facilitates the application of PolyAnalyst 4.6 in survey analysis and incident report analysis tasks. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board license PolyAnalyst.

2003

Prentice Hall incorporates PolyAnalyst 4.5 as the practical analytical software tool in two best-selling student textbooks: “Decision Support Systems in the 21st Century” and “Data Warehousing, Mining, and Visualization”. The textbooks are adopted for graduate courses at almost 400 universities.

2002

TextAnalyst 2.1 is released and is selected as one of top 12 tools for Competitive Intelligence by Fuld & Company. Megaputer wins its first US federal government customer.

2001

PolyAnalyst is selected as one of the Top 5 Picks for analytics software tools by the editors of InfoWorld. Megaputer is serving five Fortune 100 companies.

2000

PolyAnalyst version 4 is released. Megaputer Intelligence is recognized as one of six Emerging Technology Companies of the year by the Gartner Group.

1998

Two Fortune 100 companies purchase PolyAnalyst 3.5 to address challenges in the analysis of their marketing and engineering data. Megaputer signs an agreement with Microsystems Ltd., gaining exclusive distribution rights for TextAnalyst 1.5.

1997

Megaputer Intelligence Inc. is started in Bloomington, IN, in a close association with Indiana University. PolyAnalyst 3.5 for MS Windows NT is released. Megaputer wins its first customer.
